Wanda Pauline Carson

March 27, 1941 — April 28, 2020

Wanda Carson, 79, passed from this life Tuesday, April 28th, in Nocona. Wanda was born March 27th, 1941 in Wichita Falls to W.C. and Irene Browning. Wanda married J.B. Carson June 30, 1963. Wanda was full of life and brought a vibrant joy to all those around her. At work, her kind heart led her to serving as a CNA at Nocona General Hospital until her retirement. At home, she was a loving mother, and the greatest grandma you could ask for! Wanda was preceded in death by her husband J.B., both of her parents, one brother, and two sisters. Wanda is survived by her daughters Barbara Shedeck (Nocona), Sheila Weatherford (and husband David, Bellevue), and Cheryl Frazier (Nocona); grandchildren Diedree Williams, Charlie Lewis, Erica Deitert, Katelyn Paull, Josh Lira, and Matthew Kennedy; sister Jessie Pond, brother Marvin Browning, and sister Janie Browning; and ten great-grandchildren. Wanda's passing leaves an empty place in our hearts, and no one could ever replace her! Wanda's graveside service will be at Ringgold Cemetery, Thursday, April 28, 2020 at 11:00 AM under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home, with Brandon Williams officiating. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, we will limit those at the graveside to 10 people, however, guests are welcome to stay in their cars and listen.
