She was a graduate of Van High School and Tyler Junior College. She earned her Masters Degree in Business Education at the University of North Texas in Denton, TX. Not only did she teach students in elementary school and high school, but she also taught at Ector County Junior College in Odessa, TX, and at Richland College in Richardson, TX. In addition to being a �stay-at-home� mom for her children, she enjoyed sewing, singing and being active in her church.
