Virginia Ruth Edwards

Virginia Ruth Edwards passed away on December 10, 2020 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was born on April 19, 1931 to James Marvin and Velma Ruth (Gibson) Parr in Bowie, Texas. She was 89 years of age when she passed.

Virginia graduated from Nocona High School and married Ray Edwards on May 19, 1950. She worked as a seamstress for Nocona Cleaners for many years. She and her family were members of the First United Methodist Church.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brother Robert Parr. She is survived by her daughter Janice Davis and husband Kenneth of Graham, Texas as well as her son Johnnie Edwards and his wife Chris of Wichita Falls, Texas. Chris was Virginia's caregiver for quite some time. She is also survived by her brother Weldon Parr of Nocona, Texas. Virginia's spirit will live on through her five grandchildren: Jessica Sons and Justin Edwards both of Wichita Falls, Texas; Randy Davis of Alexandria, LA; Wendy Burgin of Ft. Worth, Texas; and Candy Mosener of Germany. She also has seven great-granchildren: Isabella and Carter Sons, Newton and Sage Edwards, Chyenne Cruz, and Tristan and Garett Mosener.

Graveside services are being entrusted to Scott-Morris Funeral Home and will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Old Spanish Fort Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
