Helen Sue Evans Yarbrough, affectionately known as Suzie, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2024, in Wichita Falls, Texas, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be cherished by all who knew her. Suzie was born on May 23, 1937 in Oscar, Oklahoma, to Ray and Flo Stewart Evans.
Throughout her life, Suzie touched the hearts of many with her kind and compassionate spirit. She was preceded in death by her parents, her dear brother Max Ray Evans, and her treasured daughter Angel Yarbrough Walker.
Suzie leaves behind a devoted family who will deeply miss her presence. She is survived by her three loving children: LaJuana Yarbrough, WR Yarbrough and wife Sue, and Jimmy Yarbrough and wife Patty. Suzie was not only a loving mother but also Nana Sue to a multitude of grandchildren: Patti Morton Gibbs, Christi Reed and husband Mike, Eli Yarbrough, Kandi Walker, Heath Walker, Kameron Ruiz, Jeni Fatheree and husband Lance, Kimberly Cleckler, Kelsy Davis and husband Corey, and Hunter Yarbrough and wife Jeannie. Also survived by her only niece Sarah Barger and husband Tony. Their lives were enriched by her love and guidance.
Her legacy extends even further through her 21 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren and 3 great nephews, who will carry forward her memory and the values she instilled in them.
Suzie's passion for beauty and creativity shone through her work as a cosmetologist and her skillful hands in homemaking. Her craftiness and dedication made every moment spent with her a cherished memory for those she loved.
In the hearts of those who knew her best, Suzie will forever remain a beacon of love, strength, and wisdom. Her absence will be deeply felt, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide her family and friends.
The family wishes to express their gratefulness to the angels on earth who offered such loving care, Nocona Home Health, Hospice of Wichita Falls, and our family friend Suzy McNabb.

Visitation: Tuesday, May 7th from 6 to 7pm at Scott Morris Funeral Home, Nocona, TX
Funeral Service: Wednesday, May 8th at 11am at Church of Christ, Nocona TX officiated by Austin Wright.
Interment will follow at Longbranch Cemetery, Montague County Texas
Pallbearers: Chico Cabrera Jr., James Earl Stewart, Jim L Keck, Jimbo Hancock, John Agee, and Red Wall.
