Shirley Jean Mccoy

Shirley Jean McCoy, 81 of Ringgold, passed from this life May 14, 2024. Shirley was born November 11, 1942 to Ida Mae (Pitman) and Hugh Thomas Markham. Shirley married Darrell McCoy March 19, 1960. They celebrated an incredible 61 years of marriage before Darrell passed away in 2021.
Shirley enjoyed crocheting, sewing. She was quite the angler, and in her younger days she was constantly fishing. She also loved having aquariums, especially with beautiful tropical fish.
Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband Darrell and by her parents. She is survived by her children Cheryl McCoy, Kimberly McKay, Gaylene Allen, and Darrell W. McCoy; grandchildren Jeanna Schulz, Cary Joe Carrington, Adrienne Beazley, John Russell, Laura Wattenbarger-West, Mendi Patterson, Cory Allen, Leslie Allen, Haleigh McCoy, Russell McCoy, Darrell McCoy, Jr., and Chloe Reeves; numerous great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and her siblings Marcia Kay Webb and Larry Perryman.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
