Sandra Demoss

October 26, 1943 — August 5, 2021

Sandra Janelle Bowerman DeMoss, 77, of Nocona, Texas passed from this life on August 5th, 2021 at Hospice of Wichita Falls. Sandra was born October 26th, 1943 in Nocona, Texas to Harvey and Minnie Bowerman who preceded her in death along with her brother Jamie Bowerman and sister Jo Roberts.
She is survived by her sister Jean Ritchie and Brother John Bowerman and his wife Grace, Brother Jack Bowernman, her children Cheryl Watson and Philip DeMoss and his wife Connie. Grandchildren Micah Watson and his wife Christina, Brandon DeMoss, Blake DeMoss and his fiancee Kelsey, and Jessica Watson. Great grandchildren Aedyn, Ashlynn, Noah, Alyssa, and Kinley.
Sandra spent a good part of her work life as an employee of the Nocona Dairy Queen. She was very proud of the fact that she was an amazing manager for the Hill Family and their Dairy Queen racking up 29 total years as a loyal employee, 25 of which she was in management. She helped to make the Nocona Dairy Queen the number one Dairy Queen in the state of Texas and was named Dairy Queen Manager of the Year for 2005. Through her years as a manager she took pride in teaching so many teenagers a work ethic that would serve them well as adults. When the Nocona Dairy Queen started the Angel Tree at Christmas, providing children of the community with Christmas gifts, she worked diligently every year making sure every child on the Angel Tree received gifts. Even after retirement Sandra continued organizing the Angel Tree for a few more years. After retiring from the Dairy Queen, Sandra later went back to work, serving as manager of the Carpenter Shop’s meals on wheels program for several years.
She was a hard working, loving, welcoming, proud woman who spoke bluntly and had a wild sense of humor. She always had a caring heart for anyone that needed help. In retirement she enjoyed being a nana to her grandkids and her great-grandkids. She loved NBA basketball and never missed watching a playoff game. She enjoyed sewing, crosswords, solitaire, and paint by number sets.
