Kennith Albert "Rusty" Jeffers was born September 13th, 1965 in Nocona, TX to Sonny and Inez (Walls) Jeffers. As a child Rusty lived and attended school in Aledo, TX. There he participated in multiple sports, excelling in baseball. In 1981 he moved to Nocona and attended Prairie Valley High School, excelling at basketball for which he earned the honor of the O.C. Mann award. Early in life Rusty became known for his protectiveness of family, his sense of humor, and stubbornness. Rusty worked on and off in the oilfield, starting in his teens. His job at Acme Brick in Denton was the one he most enjoyed. He worked many years at Stice's Sawmill in Bowie, from which he had endless funny stories.
Rusty is survived by his children Nathan Jeffers and Megan of Henrietta, Matthew "Choo" Jeffers of Nocona; Kolton, Shady, Sadie, and Weston all of Ringgold; two granddaughters Gracelyn and Everleigh; brothers Chuck Corky Jeffers and Nanci of Little Elm, Charlie of Waxahachie; sister Linda McGuinn and Jack of Nocona; Aunt Jean Walls of Nocona, and lifelong friend Amy Hancock of Nocona.
Rusty is preceded in death by his grandparents Bill and Zetta Walls, parents Inez Engledow and Sonny Jeffers, and brother Tommy Jeffers.
Rusty's celebration of life will be Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at 3:00 at Scott-Morris Funeral Home.
