Roena May Mcqueary

Roena May McQueary passed away on June 11, 2022 in Gainesville, Texas at the age of 82 years old. Ms. McQueary was a long time Nocona citizen. She was born here on October 19, 1939 to George Washington and Mary Ann (Roper) Wilson. She married W. H. McQueary, Jr on September 16, 1966 and were married until his death.

Mrs. McQueary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her siblings Alvis Wilson, Henry Wilson, Clifford Wilson, Evelyn Cook and Oney Stanko.

She is survived by her son Kevin Wilson and wife Kathy as well as her grandson Kyle Wilson and great-grandsons Dylan and Blaise Wilson.

Roena was a crafter all of her life and collected hummingbirds. Her family would like ot thank all her friends and family. She will be greatly missed and always remembered.

Her family will receive friends Monday evening, June 13 at 6:00 PM at Scott-Morris Chapel and graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 14 at 10am at Long Branch Cemetery, with Brother Patrick Hill officiating.
