Pedro Arvizu Aguilar, de Bowie, pasó de esta vida el 10 de agosto de 2022 a la edad de 61 años. Pedro nació el 29 de junio de 1961 en San Luis de la Paz, Guanajuato, México, hijo de Esteban Aguilar y Tersa Aguilar Mata. Pedro se mudó al Condado de Montague cuando era joven y pasó el resto de su vida adulta aquí.
Pedro creía en el trabajo duro. Trabajó muchos años en la agricultura y en la construcción. Ya sea que trabajara para ganarse la vida o para ayudar a un amigo o pariente, su fuerte ética de trabajo era siempre evidente.
Él era el vínculo que mantenía a su familia unida a través de cualquier cosa que la vida pudiera enfrentarles.
Pedro fue precedido en la muerte por sus padres. Le sobreviven: su hermana María Salomé Rodríguez (y su esposo Baltazar); sobrina Mary Lou Rodríguez; las hermanas Juana Arvizu, Hoba Arvizu, Beline Arvizu y Omsendo Arvizu; y media sobrina Nora Flores.
Pedro será recordado como amable, generoso y desinteresado. La familia y los amigos de Pedro lo extrañarán, y todos están mejor por haberlo conocido.
El funeral de Pedro será el lunes 15 de agosto de 2022 a las 2:00 p. m. en la iglesia católica St. William en Montague. El rosario será el domingo a las 6:00 p. m. y el velorio seguirá hasta las 8:00 p. m. en Scott-Morris Funeral Home.


Pedro Arvizu Aguilar, of Bowie, passed from this life August 10, 2022 at the age of 61. Pedro was born June 29, 1961 in San Luis de la Paz, Guanajuato, Mexico to Esteban Aguilar and Tersa Aguilar Mata. Pedro moved to Montague County as a young man and spent his entire adult life here.
Pedro believed in hard work. He worked many years in farming and in construction. Whether he was working to make a living or working to help out a friend or relative, his strong work ethic was always apparent.
Pedro's main love was his family. He always placed the needs of family members, and the family as a whole, even above his own needs. He was the bond that kept his family tightly connected through anything life could deal them.
Pedro was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by: his sister Maria Salome Rodriguez (and her husband Baltazar); niece Mary Lou Rodriguez; sisters Juana Arvizu, Hoba Arvizu, Beline Arvizu, and Omsenbo Arvizu; and niece Nora Flores.
Pedro will be remembered as kind, generous, and selfless. Pedro's family and friends will miss him, and they are all better for having known him.
Pedro's funeral will be Monday, August 15, 2022, 2:00 PM at St. William Catholic Church in Montague. Rosary will be Sunday, 6:00 PM, with visitation to follow until 8:00 PM at Scott-Morris Funeral Home.
