Mary Alice (Carron) Reeves age 70 passed away July 5th, 2019 in Bowie, Texas. Mary was born September 15th, 1948 to Alfred and Rita (Defayette) Caron in Plattsburgh, New York. She was the sixth of eleven children.
In 1969 while waitressing at a diner she met the love of her life Thomas G. (Tom) Reeves USAF. After a short courtship the two married on December 29th, 1969. They then returned to his hometown of Saint Jo, Texas where they raised their family.
Mary made many friends while working as a seamstress over the years at Russell-Newman in Saint Jo, Texas and Frybrant in Muenster, Texas. She was always very caring to others. Anyone whomever met her was met with a smile and generosity. Mary always had a house full of children as she loved the joys that they bring to the world. No matter their background every kid was welcomed into her home with hopes and prayers she could make their day and lives better. She was a constant caregiver who never gave up hope.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred H. and Rita T. (Defayette) Caron, brothers Alfred (Sonny) Caron and John Carron, sister in law Frankie Carron and nephew Kevin Carron.
She is survived by her husband Thomas G. (Tom) Reeves of Saint Jo, Texas, sons Thomas G. (Mas) Reeves and Darla Jean of Nocona, Texas, Martin A. Reeves and Jeannie Dunn of Saint Jo, Texas, Nicholas P. (Nick) Reeves and Marisha Gordon of Saint Jo, Texas, along with 13 grandchildren, sisters Marion and Patrick Myers of Florida, Elaine (Squires) and John Huggins of Mooers Fork, New York, Martha and Alfred Davis of Jacksonville, Florida, Maria and Richard Lee of West Virginia, June and Bryan Dashnaw of Peru, New York, Frida Carron Cavlashline of Junction, Texas, brothers Carlton Carron of Cheshire, Connecticut, Eugene Carron of Champlain, New York and many nieces and nephews.
Services for Mary Reeves will be held on Tuesday, July 9th, 2019, 10:30 AM at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Saint Jo, Texas. Mary's family will receive visitors Monday, July 8th, 6:00PM-7:00PM at Scott-Morris Funeral Home in Nocona. Her final resting place will be Mountain Creek Cemetery in Saint Jo, Texas.
