Marcy Oakley

September 3, 1935 — December 15, 2023

Marcy Oakley of Nocona passed from this life December 15th, 2023 in Fort Worth at the age of 88.

Marcy was one of a kind with her quick wit and southern humor. Marcy was always a servant ready to open up her home to anyone at anytime. Marcy was truly a treasure and the most wonderful woman that God could have given us as a mom, grammy, great grammy and mother-in-law. Gramma to our 7 kids and great gramma to her 19 great grandkids. Always pointing her family to Jesus and living a life that so beautifully displayed the character of our Savior. Marcy will be missed dearly and was truly a gift from God to her family and everyone that knew her.

Marcy Oakley was born on September 3, 1935 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Fred and Bonnie Slankard. Marcy was a graduate of Tulsa Webster High School class of 1953. She married Norman Oakley (deceased 2013) from Afton, Oklahoma 1953. Marcy worked in several different fields including banking, city administration and as a family business manager. Marcy enjoyed listening to worship music, reading and cooking, with her great passion being talking about her Savior and showing unconditional love and amazing hospitality to friends and family.

Marcy is survived by sister Novell Penix, Tulsa OK. Daughter Jan Patton and spouse John, Ennis, TX. Son Roger Oakley and spouse Mimi, Montague, TX. Grandchildren Joshua Oakley, Jordan Oakley, Valerie Scrogham, Veronica Harvey, Jennifer Bolton, Jeremy Harvey, Chris Harvey. Nineteen great grandchildren and two on the way.
