Lucille Skinner Bowles

Lucille Skinner Bowles passed away on May 18, 2022 in Wichita Falls, Texas at the age of 102. Ms. Bowles was born on February 5, 1920 to Jesse and Minnie Sumpter Skinner in Mehan, Oklahoma. Lucille moved to the Spanish Fort area when she was a kid and spent her whole life in the Montague County area. This is where she met her husband Homer and they were married on September 2, 1939 in Montague, Texas. She was a member of the Valley View Baptist Church and Bethel Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting and cooking.

Ms. Bowles was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Homer, her siblings Bill Skinner, Roy Skinner, Dee Skinner, Curtis Skinner, Clardy Skinner, Raymond Skinner, Leonard Skinner, Nita Skinner Reed and Fern Skinner Walser, as well as a great great grandchild Kannon Bowles.

Her legacy lives on through her survivors her son Clyde Warren Bowles of Archer City, Texas, her four grandchildren Lacretia Lee Glazner and Gaspar Martinez, Mark Warren Bowles and wife Beth, Patricia Ann Vieth and husband Greg, and Melissa Lynn Bussey. She is survived by nine great-grandchildren Brayden Bowles, Baylee Bowles Koontz, Taylor Field, Karley Edge Buerger, Kensley Vieth, Karson Vieth, Neal Glazner, Nick Glazner, and Allison Glazner Calvert. As well as seven great-great grandchildren Khloe Koontz, Emilee Koontz, Karolyna Bowles, Kyla Mock, Carter Calvert, Casen Calvert, and baby Buerger due any day now.

Ms. Bowles service will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Scott-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Nocona Cemetery. Jack McBride and John Morris, Jr. will officiate.
