Louise Blake Belcher, lifelong resident of Nocona, passed away Friday, March 10th at the age of 92. Louise was born September 20, 1924 in Illinois Bend to Johnny Edward Blake and Rose Zetta (Hatfield) Blake. On January 3, 1944, Louise married Marshall Belcher, and they were married 56 years before Marshall passed away in 1999. Louise spent many years working at the Nokona Athletic Goods before retiring. Louise was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, the Nocona Hospital Auxiliary, the Disabled Veterans of America Ladies Auxiliary, and the Red Hat Club.
Louise was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband Marshall, her son Billy Belcher, and her granddaughter Donna Brooking.
Louise is survived by her son Tommy and wife Pam Belcher, daughter LeAnn and husband Ricky Peden, nine grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, her sister Loy and husband Loren Bowman, and her sister Floy Godbey, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Louise loved her family, and was deeply loved by them. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Louise's funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Scott-Morris Funeral Home. Louise's family will receive visitors Sunday, March 12th at 3:00 PM at Scott-Morris' chapel, and her funeral will be graveside at Molsbee Chapel Cemetery Monday, March 13th at 10:00 AM. Rev. Charles Reed will officiate, and Louise's grandsons will be her pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
