John Stanley Brown went to his eternal home on December 24, 2019 after a long, courageous battle. Mr. Brown was born on November 14, 1946 to Marvin and Imogene (Kyle) Brown in Whitesboro, Texas. John graduated from S&S High school and attended East Texas University. On August12, 1967 he married Linda Marie Crow and they set out to raise their family.
John was a member of Molsbee Chapel Church, the Whitesboro Masonic Lodge 263 A.F. and A.M., served on several different committees throughout the years such as Montague County Youth Fair Committee
John is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Melvin Brown and a grandchild.
John is survived by his wife Linda Brown, two sons Jonathan Brown and wife Lesa, and Chad Brown and wife Sherry, and one daughter Sherry L. Brown all of Nocona. His sisters Deaton Davis and husband Velton, and Paula Mariner all of Allen, Texas. A brother George Brown and wife Kim of Krum, Texas. A sister in law Gwen Brown of Whitesboro, Texas, and six grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Friday, December 27, 2019 at 1:00PM at Bethel Baptist Church in Nocona with funeral service following at 2:00PM, Jonathan Brown and Donald Cheshier officiating with interment being held after at Molsbee Chapel Cemetery. Scott-Morris Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
John Brown was known by many, loved by many, and will be missed by many.
