Jessie Fanette Begley

Jessie "Fanette" (Cummings) Begley of Nocona passed away December 18th, 2016 at the age of 80. Fanette was born to Thomas Annis Cummings and Jessie Lee (Cochran) Cummings on September 29th, 1936 in Locker, TX. An avid spelunker, Fanette was a member of the National Spelogical Society as well as various state and local organizations. Even at the age of 50, Fanette repelled 800 feet down into a cave, explored all day, then climbed back out. She continued spelunking even into her 60's. Fanette was preceded in death by both of her parents, her son Scott Thomas Wright, by Zelbert Wright, Richard Taylor, and Floyd "Red" Begley, and by her sister-in-law Janice Cummings. Fanette is survived by her brother Thomas Enoch Cummings and wife Claudette, sons Lonnie Earl Wright, Mark Allan Wright and wife Beth, and Ryan Richard Taylor and wife Angela; daughter Cheryl Locke and husband Johnny; grandchildren Quanah, Dakota, and Zeb Wright, Toni (Wright) Pate, Jennifer (Locke) Crane, David Locke, Jodi (Locke) Scott, Jessica Locke, and Thomas Taylor; and great-grandchildren Leo and Landon Crane, Corley and Parker Locke, and Anderson Scott, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Fanette will be deeply missed, but she goes on to reunite with her son and so many others she loved in this life. Fanette's funeral is Wednesday, December 21st at 2:00 PM at Valley View Baptist Church in Spanish Fort, TX with Jonathan Brown officiating and under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home.
