Jena Lesa Geurin Obituary Funeral Services will be held at the Bethel Baptist Church of Nocona, Texas for Jena Lesa Geurin on April 7 at 10 A.M. with the interment to follow in the Mountain Creek Cemetery north of St. Jo. Scott-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements Jena Lesa, was born in Nocona, Texas on March 17, 1955. She was the second child born to Paul Bagby Smith and Gloria Painter Smith. She grew up in Bowie and Nocona. After the divorce of her mother and father, she moved to Nocona with her brother and sister to live with her maternal grandparents Hubert and Ruby Painter. She attended Nocona Schools where she excelled in a variety of activities. She graduated in 1973 and attended TWU University in Denton . She married Michael Fenoglio and they had two children Andrew born in 1978 and Megan in 1982. She worked helping to put her husband through medical school. The couple made their homes in Galveston and then Colorado. After their divorce, she moved back to Nocona to raise her children and finish her nursing degree at Cooke County Jr. College. She remarried Joe Geurin and the family made their home in Watauga where Jena worked for John Peter Smith Hospital. The couple then moved to Lubbock, Texas where she worked as a Home Health Nurse and Joe worked for General Mills. They enjoyed 10 years of marriage before his death in 1993. After he passed away, she adopted three more children to expand their family and bring joy and grace to their lives. She relocated the family back in Nocona and purchased an old historic home which she converted to �Into My Heart Bed and Breakfast Inn.� She had the gift of hospitality and loved entertaining and hosting special gatherings and events in this place. She loved music and played the piano. She enjoyed cooking and had a large collection of cook books. She loved to travel and was a host family for international students and active in the churches she served. She helped in ministry to shut-ins and people in need. She home schooled her children and was active in an area home school association. She also loved animals and worked to help animals in need. She was active in the Valley View Baptist Church in Spanish Fort and the Bethel Baptist Church of Nocona. She enjoyed spending time with her family and using her gifts to make others happy. She passed away on April 2, 2015 at the age of 60. She is survived by her mother Gloria Wade of Nocona, by two sons Andrew Fenoglio of Nocona and Tim Geurin of Fort Worth; by three daughters, Megan Krebs and husband Michael of Gainesville, Elizabeth Geurin of Georgetown, and Vanessa Geurin of Waco, and by three grandchildren, Kate, Reagan, and Lelani. She is also survived by her brother Jerry Smith and wife Brenda of Clifton, three sisters, Jane Tettleton and husband Joe of Arlington, Patricia Koernig and husband Michael of Miramar Florida, and Veronica Soto and husband Alfonse of Mission, Texas and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends. The family is asking for memorials to go to Nocona Home Health. services are under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home of Nocona
