 Jeanette Brandon, a devoted and compassionate nurse, who dedicated her life to caring for others, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025, in Nocona, Texas, at the age of 88. Born on October 25, 1936, in Weiser, Idaho, Jeanette exemplified hard work and devotion throughout her life. As a devout Christian and a faithful member of Abundant Life Pentecostal Church, Jeanette's spiritual commitment was evident in everything she did. She shared her faith and talents generously, teaching the church community how to make her beloved peanut brittle, which continues to be a cherished fundraiser for them. 

Family was the cornerstone of Jeanette's life. She raised her children and grandchildren with love and compassion, always ensuring they felt welcomed and cherished. Known for her exceptional hospitality, she never hesitated to feed anyone who came by her home, whether they were family or workers helping with renovations. Her great love for baking was showcased in her delicious offerings, including her famous Texas Cake and wedding cakes that delighted many. In addition to her nursing career and her family, Jeanette had a wide range of interests and talents. She loved sewing, baking, and crafting, emphasizing the importance of creativity in her life. With a spirited personality, she was known for her fierce arguments and unwavering stance on her beliefs, showcasing a strength that inspired everyone around her. 

Jeanette is survived by her daughters Sherrie Taylor-Kincy and Ruth Ellen Franklin; son Bruce Wayne Edmondson; nephew and niece Dennis and Rachel; brother Jim Hopkins and his wife Ruth; as well as 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her legacy of love, devotion, and family. 

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ralph Eugene Edmondson and Lem Brandon; son Timothy Daniel Edmondson; father Theodore Turner; mother Zinna Fern (Ritzius); adopted father Vernon Hopkins; sister Ellen Shane; and brother Jimmy Kelly. Jeanette Brandon's memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her, as she leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strong familial bonds, and an unyielding faith in God. 

Her impact on her family and community will undoubtedly resonate for generations to come. Jeanette's family will host a Celebration of her Life at Abundant Life Pentecostal Church in Nocona on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at 1:30 PM with Pastor James Messer officiating
