James Ellsworth Alderman - March 12, 1933 - March 30, 2022


James Ellsworth Alderman passed away on March 30, 2022, in Dallas, Tx after a brief illness with cancer. He was 89. He was the oldest son born to James Scheubert Alderman and Katherine Ann (Thatcher) Alderman on March 12, 1933 in Covington, KY. He lived most of his life in the DFW metroplex. James has three children, James (Jimmy) Alderman, Julia Alderman-Patty, and Jeffrey (Jeff) Alderman. He leaves behind five grandchildren, Emma Patty, Eric Alderman, Abby Patty, Elliott Alderman, and Noah Patty along with shared grandchildren with his lovely wife Frances Alderman who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Beverly Alderman, William Alderman, and David Alderman. He has one living sibling, Michael Alderman.


James was a successful insurance salesman and enjoyed a lengthy career in that field. He was the lover of all things sports related and coached many youth football, baseball, and basketball teams. Additionally, he enjoyed refereeing when he was not coaching. His passion was his family and also spending time in the great outdoors. He was a man who loved nature. He will be deeply missed and remembered as a person with a kind spirit and great sense of humor.


James will be laid to rest on Wednesday, April 6th at 11:00AM at Mountain Creek Cemetery near Saint Jo, TX in a graveside service, under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home.
