James Calvin Tettleton passed away on December 20, 2020 at the age of 60 in Tennessee. James was born on December 23, 1959 to Thomas Henry and Sherma Sue Hachtel Tettleton in Bowie, Texas. James was a life-long resident of Montague county.
James was preceded in death by his wife Diana and his parents, as well as his sister Toni and brother Keith. James is survived by his son Mathew Tettleton and his daughters Jamie Tettleton (and husband Harley Trompeter), Tavia Turner (and husband Randy); his sister Pam Cross (and husband David) and his brother Steve Tettleton. He is also survived by five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and lifelong friend Michael Self
James worked in the oilfield for many years in various capacities, including being a driller and eventually a company man. He later worked as a long haul truck driver.
James believed in honest hard work, and he took great pride in working to provide for his family. James was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was always happy to help his family. His passing leaves a void no one could fill. He will be deeply missed.
James' memorial service will be Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 1PM at the Scott-Morris Funeral Home chapel.
