Fred Wayne West

Freddy Wayne West, born March 8, 1937 in Gorman, Texas to George Floyd West and Melvina Newton West. Died December 11, 2015 in Nocona, Texas. He was raised in DeLeon, Texas where he graduated from DeLeon High School in 1955. He graduated from Howard Payne University in 1960. He was married to Joyce Bassett West for 59 years. He is survived by his wife, Joyce, his brothers Jim West of Athens, Texas and Grady West of DeLeon, Texas. Three sons: Daylon West and his wife Kim of Jacksboro, Texas. Rusty West and his wife Sabrina of Nocona, Kelly West and his wife Kelly Jo of Cisco, Texas. Grandchildren: Cara, R.C., Clayton, Chris, Chelsea, Katy, Kayla, Kelsie, and Jacob and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, George and Troy, and one grandson Luke. Visitation will be at Nocona Church of Christ Annex on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at 6:30PM. Funeral service will be Monday, December 14, 2015 at Nocona Church of Christ at 1:00PM. Pallbearers are R. C. West, Jacob West, Clayton Oliver, Chris Oliver, Weston Bond, Joel Parsons, Colby Whitlock, Aaron Wagner, Travis Fry. Honorary Pallbearers: The assistant coaches of Comanche, Boswell, Clyde and Nocona High Schools. Funeral is under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home
