Emma Lou (Lambert) Self

Emma Lou Self was born October 26, 1932 in Spanish Fort, TX to John and Ethel (Lee) Lambert. She graduated from Nocona High School in 1951 and married Robert Self on February 26, 1955. Emma Lou was a very active, longtime member of the United Methodist Church of Montague. She worked in the family business, but her proudest job was raising her five sons. Emma Lou is preceded in death by her husband Robert Self, son Douglas Self, and two sisters, Wuanzita Simpson and Nannetta Scott. Emma Lou is survived by sons Richard Self and wife, Connie, David Self and wife Larissa, Lynn Self and wife Linnea, John Self and wife Soncia, and seven grandchildren. Emma Lou's visitation will be at Scott-Morris Funeral Home, Monday, December 20, 2021, 6:00 PM-7:00 PM. Her funeral is set for Tuesday, December 21, 10:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Montague, TX with Pastor Larry Coleman officiating.
