Douglas Ray Fulkerson

Douglas Ray Fulkerson, 59, passed from this life Saturday, October 24th in Nocona. Doug was born August 2, 1961 in Newton Iowa, to Donald Ray and Mary Louise Fulkerson.
Doug was a "jack of all trades." Over the course of his life, he worked for the railroad, was a long-haul truck driver, and operated a forklift for Maytag before moving to Nocona to become a boot-maker and later working for the baseball glove factory. Doug really excelled when he was working with his hands, whether in carpentry, leather-work, or anything else.
Doug is survived by his mother Mary Louise (Sullivan) Fulkerson, sister Marta Poots (and husband Todd), nephews Preston, Matthew, and Clayton Poots, and numerous cousins.
Doug was deeply loved, and he will be greatly missed. Doug's family and friends will celebrate his life at a memorial service Saturday, December 5, 3:00 PM at the Nocona VFW.
