Dorothy Karen Brown

Karen Brown born September 22, 1943 to Herron "Hack" and Helen Standley Glass in Lubbock, Texas, passed from this life on June 26, 2016 in her home in Nocona, Texas. Karen is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Larry Glass. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Dawson Doyle; her daughter Donna Brown and sons Steve Brown and Condell Doyle; granddaughter Brooke Brown; her brother Frank Glass and sister Betty Brasier and life-long friend June Anderson. Karen was a member of the baptist church and a registered nurse for over 30 years before she retired in 2007. She was an avid water skier and loved the lake as well as traveling camping. She loved all types of roses but purple was her favorite color, a rarity just like Karen. She was an outstanding wife and mother. The family will honor Karen and receive friends Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 6-7 PM at Scott Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Her funeral will be held on Thursday June 30, 2016 at 10AM at Bethel Baptist Church with Dale Berry and Robert Standley officiating, interment to follow at Union Cemetery.
