Donna Joan (Pulliam) Calhoun of Nocona passed from this life Thursday, January 21st, 2021. She was 73.
Donna was born April 21, 1947 in Keller, TX to Robert Alvin and Ruth Pulliam. Donna was a faithful Christian woman. She loved spending time outdoors. She was an avid angler and had been a member of a bass club in Fort Worth in her younger years. Donna had quite the "green thumb," and loved raising gardens and flowers - especially roses.
Donna also loved people. She didn't enjoy being a crowd just for the sake of being in a crowd. She would much rather have real conversations with people, get to know them, and get to celebrate life with them. She was the kind of friend everyone needs! She had a kind, gentle heart. She was an excellent encourager. Donna loved giving of herself to her friends.
Donna was a hard worker. In addition to being a loving wife and doting mother, she worked as a nurse's aid for many years, as well as working for Tandy Leather, Nokia, and as a customer service manager for Wal-Mart for many years.
Donna was preceded in death by her loving husband Paul Calhoun in 2010. She was also preceded in death by her father Robert Pulliam, mother Ruth (Porter) Carraway, sister Wanda Smith, and by an infant twin-sister Dina Jane Pulliam. Donna is survived by her daughter Tami Talley, sisters Roberta Jones and Pat Murdock, one half-brother and several half-sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
While our hearts are grieved, we know that Donna has gone on to the reward Jesus had prepared for her in heaven.
