Don Kennedy

Donald Paul "Don" Kennedy, 80, passed from this life April 24, 2020 in Nocona. Don was born August 9, 1939 in Tyler, TX to Hershel Ray and Mary Elizabeth Kennedy. After high school, Don proudly served in the US Navy. While in the Navy, Don married Maudelle (Highnote). After his discharge, Don attended Bible Baptist College in Springfield, MO. Don followed his calling to be a pastor, and faithfully serving churches until his retirement in Lubbock. In retirement, Don and Maudelle traveled for several years before moving to Nocona in 2018.
Don is survived by his loving wife Maudelle, children Tina Wilkerson and husband Bob, Yukon, OK, Sherri Fisher and husband Corby, Edmond, OK, and Max Kennedy and wife Jennifer, of Esteli, Nicaragua; grandchildren Luke Wilkerson, Jamie Summers, Nick Wilkerson, Blake Fisher, Cameron Fisher, Tate Kennedy, Brady Kennedy, and Kelli Kennedy; siblings Leland Kennedy and Freida Eargle, and 16 great-grandchildren.
Don's passing leaves an ache in the hearts of all who loved him, but Don is enjoying the reward he looked forward to all his life in Jesus.
