Dee Lorraine Talley

November 30, 1922 — October 20, 2020

Dee Lorraine Talley, 97 of Hot Springs, AR. passed from this life October 20, 2020. Lorraine was born to Granville "Dee" and Eula Hanks November 30th, 1922 in Graham, TX.
Lorraine grew up in north Texas, mostly in Nocona.
Lorraine met the love of her life Asko Talley, and the two married March 15, 1941 in Marietta, OK. Lorraine and Asko spent much of their lives in Saint Jo, TX. They had two children, Bevla and Larry. Lorraine was a devoted wife and mother, and she was able to be a stay-at-home mom while the children were small. Once the children grew up, Lorraine went to cosmetology school. She spent the rest of her working life as a beautician in Saint Jo.
Lorraine was a beautiful example of love for her family and her Lord. She was a longtime member of the Saint Jo Church of Christ. After moving Hot Springs, she became a member of the 70 West Church of Christ in Hot Springs. She devoted her life to instilling faith in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Lorraine believed in being straightforward: you never had to wonder what she really thought.
Lorraine and Asko enjoyed 64 years of loving, devoted marriage before he preceded her in death in 2005. In 2009, Lorraine moved to Hot Springs to be near their daughter Bevla. For the last several years, Lorraine lived at Belvedere Nursing and Rehab in Hot Springs. She enjoyed her time at Belvedere, and she was deeply loved by her many friends there.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Asko, and numerous siblings. She is survived by her children: Bevla Lamb and husband Eddie of Hot Springs, and Larry Talley and wife Frieda of Chico; grandchildren David Lamb and wife Lindsay, Tiffany Dunaway and husband Tim, Kristen Tribe and husband Shane, and Jennifer Rakowitz and husband Kody; great-grandchildren Emma Lamb, Ella Lamb, Gracie Dunaway, Luke Tribe, and Allie Tribe; sister Edna May Brown, and brother Benny Ray Hanks.
Lorraine will be deeply missed, and she leaves a great legacy of love and faith. Lorraine's funeral will be Saturday, October 24, 2:00 at Center Point Cemetery near Saint Jo, TX under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home, with Chester Cullum and Steve Chism officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Center Point Cemetery.
