David Reed

Oliver David Reed left his family's loving arms and entered into teh loving arms of God Saturday, April 29, 2023 in his home in Henrietta, Texas. His wife Loretta was by his side as was his sister Barbara.

He was born on August 26, 1951 to Milburn and Margie Reed of Saint Jo, Texas. he was preceded in death by his parents and sister Joye Farris. David married the love of his life Loretta Sue Ward on November 16, 1968. They were blessed with three children: David Allen, Teresa and Chris. His wife and children were the most important part of his life.

He worked in the oilfield for many years. Later he started his own trucking company where he worked until his health declined. He was a very hard worker and a friend to all that knew him. He was a loving husband, wonderful father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

David is survived by his wife Loretta, son David Allen and wife Ginger of Wichita Falls, Texas. Daughter Teresa and husband Jeff of Muenster, Texas; son Chris and wife Shynesta of Wichita Falls, TX. Grandchildren Paige Curtis, Ryke Moseley, Madchen Bishop, Colton Moseley, Kaiden Moseley, Lexi Reed, Parker Reed, Anthony Williams, and Mikayla Gonzales. Eleven great-grandchildren, sister Barbara Kirkpatrick of Saint Jo, Texas, Brother-in-law Larry Ward of Duncan, Ok and sister-in-law Joyce Bratcher of Rush Springs, OK.

The family will greet friends and family from 6-8PM Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at Scott-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Nocona, TX. Services for David will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 in the Nocona Cemetery Gazebo.
