C.W. Lee

Charley "C.W." or "C-dub" Lee, Jr. passed from this life Monday, May 17, 2021 at the age of 58. C-Dub was born March 22, 1963 in Nocona, TX to Charley and Willa Lee.
C-dub grew up in, and spent his adult life as well, in Montague County. Shortly after graduating from Prairie Valley, C-Dub married Karla (Abbott) July 24, 1981. C- Dub and Karla had two children, their son Chuck who passed away as an infant, and their daughter Erin.
C-dub worked hard to provide for his family and worked as a truck driver, mostly hauling cattle. C-dub also spent a lot of time farming and ranching. When he wasn't at work, C-dub enjoyed rooting for the Dallas Cowboys.
As a friend, C-dub was loyal, honest, supportive, and helpful. He had a personality that just drew you in. He would go "above and beyond" to help a friend in need.
C-dub's greatest joy was his family. He was a loving, devoted husband to Karla. He was an attentive, caring father to Erin. C-dub really lived to be "Poppy" to his grandkids; he loved being with them every chance he got. He enjoyed teaching Willa to shoot guns, and had looked forward to being able to do the same with the younger grandkids. His most favorite thing in the world was watching his grandkids play ball, no matter what sport they played.
C-dub was preceded in death by his parents and by one son, Charley W. Lee, III, "Chuck." C-dub is survived by his loving wife Karla, daughter Erin Wigglesworth and husband Daniel; sister Glenda Henson; grandchildren Willa Young, Lynlee Coffman, Brylee Coffman, Katlynn Wigglesworth, Conner Wigglesworth, Ally Wigglesworth, and Jacob Wigglesworth. C-dub leaves a legacy of family who loved him, and who knew his love for them, as well as many friends.
C-dub's funeral will be Saturday, 10:30 AM at Scott-Morris Funeral Home. His family will receive visitors immediately before the funeral, beginning at 9:30 AM. After the funeral, C-dub will be buried at Nocona Cemetery.
