"Coach Bob" Whatley

Bobby Dean Whatley "Coach Bob" left this earth on July 24th, 2018 in Nocona, TX. Born October 15th, 1940 to Bob and Nora Whatley, he married Carolyn Sue Bales on January 3, 1959. He is survived by his wife Sue Whatley of the home, his daughter Peggy Sue Morrow and son-in-law Lonnie Morrow of Lake Nocona; son Barry Whatley and daughter-in-law Misty Whatley of Sanger, TX, one sister-in-law, two brothers-in-law, nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Coach Bob loved any opportunity to work with children, especially in sports. He loved fishing. He was kind and loving, one of the best men to ever live. He had a heart of gold. Coach Bob loved, and was loved, by many.
Coach Bob's Memorial Service will be Saturday, August 4th, 2018 10:00 AM at Shady Grove Church in Nocona, officiated by Randy Bales. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Coach Bob Whatley Scholarship Fund at Legend Bank.
