Charles Allen McCulloch passed away on September 5, 2019 at his home in Nocona, Texas at the age of 77. Charles was born on September 8, 1941 to Henry Allen and Gladys Mabel (Brown) McCulloch in Tennessee.
Charles worked construction most of his life. He was skilled in framing, roofing, and any other type of construction work. Charles worked for Sherriff-Goslin Construction in Michigan until he retired from there. After moving to Texas, he continued to work in construction, especially in Bowie for Wendell Robbins. Charles was a perfectionist when it came to his work and very picky: he made sure everything fit together just right and looked seamless. Construction was not Charles' only employment, though. He also worked as a bouncer at the Chandelier, which is where he met his wife Karen. At first, she was not to interested, but once she saw him break up a fight, she took interest fast! They married November 27, 1981, and Karen preceded him in death in 2017.
Charles was also preceded in death by his brother Bill McCulloch as well as two brothers in law Barry and Weldon Willingham.
Charles is survived by his children Sherry Pozzi (and Roger Brewer) of South Bend, Indiana; Audra McCulloch-Cutchall of Lansing, Michigan; Carl McCulloch of Oxford, Michigan, Chrystal McCulloch (and Wayne Cannaday), of Nocona, Billy McCulloch of Bowie, Steven McCulloch of Nocona, and Michael McCulloch (and Stormy Honea) of Nocona; his grandchildren: Cheyenne, Katlynn, Conner, John, Joshua, Kyle, Murphy, Audra, Georgie, Cassy, Cody, Chrysti, Miguel, and Baylee; 9 great-grandchildren; as well as brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Lennie Hammonds, Marsha Enriquez, Lori Contino, Misty Richards, Kathy Willingham, Michael Richards, and Terry Richards.
Charles' funeral will be graveside on Monday, September 16, 2019, 9:00 AM at Nocona Cemetery. Charles Osbourne will be officiating. Services are under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home.
Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His family and friends will miss him deeply.
