Oak St., Nocona, Texas 76255 Phone (940)825-3338 Fax(940)825-3676 OBITUARY God opened the doors of heaven to receive a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Billy S. Skidmore. Mr. Skidmore passed from this life on March 4th, 2015 at his home in Nocona, Texas. He was born in Wichita Falls, TX on January 13, 1931. He is preceded in death by his mother Effie Mae Fenstermacher. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Skidmore. His children Sherry Dykes and her husband Dennis; Brenda Funderburk and her husband Randy, Stephanie Torres and her husband Victor; and son Bill Skidmore, Jr and his wife Lisa. As well as seven grandchildren: Gary, Mikaela, Mason, Jolie, Linsey, Sam and Kasi and 5 great-grandchildren Sage, Isaia, Chandler, Trenton, and Sarah. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Nocona Hills Community Church at 10AM, Ron Wilson and Joseph Jernigan officiating. Internment will be at Shady Grove Cemetery. Billy was a diehard University of Texas Longhorn fan as well as a member of the Nocona Hills Community Church. He is retired army veteran and retired from Southwestern Bell after 32 years of service. Billy will be greatly missed by many family, friends, and neighbors. The family will receive friends and family at Scott Morris Funeral Home on Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 6-7 PM. .
