Bartolo Gomez

Bartolo Gomez passed away on November 29, 2020 in Decatur, TX. He was born on March 2, 1957 in Celaya, GTO, Mexico to Rosendo and Maria Alvarez Gomez.

Bartolo and his family lived in Nocona for over 30 years. He worked for Nocona ISD as a custodian at the elementary school for 20 years. He always had a smile on his face and was a hard worker. Bartolo cleaned up after little dribbler's games, volleyball tournaments, TRIBE functions and was at the elementary school every time the doors were open. He took pride in his work and always did it with a joyful attitude.

Bartolo is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Maria Luz Gomez, his children Luis Gomez, Ana Castro, Estela Gomez, Roberto Gomez, Reggie Gomez, Rosendo Gomez, Yolanda Gomez, Diana Gomez ad Erick Gomez. His siblings Benjamin Gomez, Aurelio Gomez, Roberto Gomez, Martin Gomez, Ernestina Diaz, and Juan Gomez, as well as 29 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday evening from 6-7 at Scott-Morris Funeral Home. Bartolo's funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 11:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Nocona.

Mr. Gomez was the backbone of his family and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
