Barbara Janet Johnson

Barbara Janet Johnson passed from this life surrounded by family April 2, 2021 in Nocona at the age of 69. Barbara was born November 7th, 1951 in Crosbyton, Texas to Bobby and Elwanna McHam.

Barbara married Claude Johnson January 23, 1982, and they had three children. Claude preceded Barbara in death February 17, 2020 after 38 years of marriage.

Barbara was a certified nursing assistant, and she worked for thirty years for Grace Care Center. Even at such a physically demanding job, even in her sixties, Barbara could work circles around younger coworkers. Barbara was full of care, love, and compassion, but she was also feisty!

When she wasn't working, Barbara most loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband Claude, both of her parents, brother Ted Johnson, and brother-in-law Mike Warton.

Barbara is survived by her children Tim Johnson, April Johnson, and Jeff Johnson; sisters Mayful Warton and Paula Stanley, brothers Danny Johnson and Mike Johnson, niece Nikki Roper, nephew Cody Roper, daughter-in-law Ashley Johnson; and grandchildren Cheyanne Lemons, Katelynn Cannaday, Stormie Johnson, Haley Johnson, Brayden Johnson, Trevor Roper, Landon Roper, Tate Roper, and Jaxon Roper.

Barbara will be deeply missed, but she has gone on to be with her beloved husband Claude. Barbara's family will have a private memorial service.
