Barbara Ann Goldsmith

Barbara Ann Goldsmith, 78 of Spanish Fort, passed from this life October 20, 2021 in Plano. Barbara was born in Spanish Fort on June 5, 1943 to Jesse and Dorotha Skinner. Barbara grew up in Spanish Fort and graduated from Prairie Valley High School. Barbara enjoyed a happy, loving marriage to Glenn Goldsmith, who passed away in 2009.

Barbara was loving, friendly, and generous. She was quick to help a friend in need. She was deeply loyal to her friends and family. She also enjoyed numerous hobbies, including crochet, coloring, tending to her flower beds, gardening, and caring for her lawn - she only mowed using a zero-turn mower, and allways full speed! Barbara was a genuinely fun person to be around. She loved playing games. She had a quick sense of humor and loved to laugh.

Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband Glenn; her parents Jesse and Dorotha; and her daughter Elizabeth. Barbara is survived by her son James Sims; daughter Samantha Webb and husband Bobby; brother Steve Skinner and family; grandchildren Jennifer Sims, Justin Mullins, Daniel Mullins, and April Evans; niece Debra Horton, Aunt Margie Skinner, Aunt Beryl York, and close friend Cindy Pigg and family, as well as ten great-grandchildren.

Barbara was one-of-a-kind, and she will be deeply missed. Barbara's funeral will be graveside at Spanish Fort Cemetery, Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 2:00 PM, under the direction of Scott- Morris Funeral Home.
